Weather: Sunny, temps in the mid 40s and warming slightly.
Course: The Tortoise & Hare course, which is an "S" shaped out-and-back
course. North for 1/2 mile, cross creek, south for 1/2 mile,
north for another 1/2 mile, then return via the same route.
The course is flat. About 2 miles are on hard-packed dirt trails
and about 1 mile is on cement. Elevation is about 6,000 feet.
