Current Course Used in Years: 2008 - present

Current Course Info: Point-to-point course starting at Palmer Lake and ending at America the Beautiful Park.  Runners first do a loop around Palmer Lake and then get on the New Sante Fe Trail heading south, and slightly downhill.  The trail runs through the towns of Palmer Lake and Monument on a gradual downhill.  Then it's through the Air Force Academy with some rolling hills.  When getting into Colorado Springs, it's mostly a gradual downhill again to America the Beautiful Park near downtown Colorado Springs.  The starting elevation is about 7,250 feet and the finish elevation is about 6,000 feet.

Course Used in Years: 2004 - 2007

Course Info: America the Beautiful Park, Colorado Springs.  The start is along the road on the east side of the park.  The course heads north on the road for a few hundred yards, then turns left onto a sidewalk in the park that goes past the playground and then across the footbridge.  After crossing the footbridge, the course heads south on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail.  The first turn-around is south of Nevada Ave.  After turning around, the course goes north past the Woodmen area to the 2nd turn-around.  Then it's back south again to the park.  When re-entering the park, a half-loop around the oval (counter-clockwise) is done with the finish being on the east side of the oval.  The start/finish elevation is about 6,000 feet.  The elevation at the first turn around is about 5,900 feet.  The elevation at the second turn-around is about 6,500 feet.
