Looking for running partners in your area of town? Why don't you be an informal leader? Name a time and place and PPRR will post the information on the web and in the newsletter. Give the group a chance to form. It may take a while, but chances are there will start to be a core group of regulars who begin to show up. After a while the groups should be self-sustaining.

Our loosely organized running group does a long run every weekend, usually Saturday morning. Often we have one small group doing a Saturday run and one small group doing a Sunday morning run. At least two emails are sent out every week asking runners what distance they need to run and where they would like to run. These requests are organized into a plan and a final email is sent out with the time and location for the run or runs occurring that weekend. We love having new runners join us and will treat you very nicely I promise! We train using the Jeff Galloway method on our long runs by using the run/walk method of training. The interval we generally use is to run four minutes, walk one minute, and we do this for the entire long run. Most of us in the group are training for a marathon or half marathon and try to coordinate so that we have company for our long runs as we train. Generally our weekend runs range from 6 - 15 miles. If you are a great runner, very fast, and very focused, this is probably not the group for you. Our runs are fun and friendly. We are full of what we think is great advice and are always looking to share it! This running group has been running together for over five years but it is always changing due to the addition of wonderful new people LIKE YOU!Host: John O'Neill, (719) 635-3833
