Take I-25 north to the Gleneagle Exit at the North Gate of the Air Force Academy. Exit east and follow North Gate Rd for 2.9 miles to Roller Coaster Rd. Turn left and go 2.2 miles ( pass the entrance to the park on Stella) to the trailhead. Rolling hills in a ponderosa pine setting. Restrooms and water at the trailhead. Elevation approx 7000 ft. with 5 miles of varying trails. Also good snowshoeing/xcountry skiing in the winter after a good snowfall.
