Awards (donated by Performance Awards)

1st-3rd Overall Male & Female
No Age Group Awards

General Info

50-100 runners typically show up for this low-key event.  Race day registration only.  The award trophies are very generous and large.  There are no shirts at this race.

The awards are donated by Performance Awards, located at 17 S Wahsatch Ave in Colorado Springs (635-3303).  Visit Performance Awards for all of your award needs.  Plaques, trophies, acrylics, medals, ribbons, glassware and more, they can do it all.

Course Information

It's a beautiful course, with one portion with a good climb for hill training.  The course is mainly on dirt trails in Bear Creek Park, but there is a short distance on a paved entry road and a gravel parking lot.  There are a few decent hills to keep the thrills at a high level.  Elevation is around 6,200 feet.

Event History

The Panoramic was originally conceived in the mid 80's as a fund raiser for the planned Olympic Hall of Fame which was to be part of the Jimmy Camp development.  When that fell through, the event was moved to Palmer Park and the Deaf and Blind School was designated as recipients.  The race was an 5 miler in Palmer Park, and was changed to 4 miles when the venue changed to Bear Creek Park in 2000.
