Volunteer Corner

The Pikes Peak Road Runners is a 100% volunteer-based organization.  Nothing is accomplished without involvement from volunteers.  The club is always looking for more volunteers to help with a variety of tasks.  The majority of volunteers are needed to help on race days, but there are many other areas where you can help.  Don't be shy.  Just contact us and we'll put you to work.  You don't need to be a club member to volunteer.

Volunteers earn volunteer hours, which can be used to earn a free t-shirt, complimentary entries to a race, a jacket and other items.  The volunteer year goes from October 1 - September 30.  Volunteer hours are reset to zero at the beginning of each volunteer year.

Volunteers earn hours by helping in any way with any PPRR-owned event or other PPRR activities, such as Newsletter Stuffing, Trail Clean-Up, etc.  For events where the PPRR is contracted to work a race, volunteer hours are earned if you help with the area of the race that includes the PPRR responsibilities.  This usually is the finish line/results, and any other area where the race organizer have made specific arrangements for the PPRR to cover that aspect of the race.

Please contact Micky Simpson, the volunteer coordinator, to help out our wonderful running community.
