2006 Kids Triathlon Clinic
USA Triathlon

PPRR,

USAT and the Prospect Lake Triathlon are holding a Kid’s Triathlon Clinic on Thursday June 8, 2006 at Memorial Park. We are encouraging as many kids and parents to attend as possible.

Join the USA Triathlon Coaching staff and the Elite Athletes at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs for a Triathlon Youth and Parent Clinic on Thursday June 8th.

Location: Memorial Park at the lake

Date: June 8, 2006

Time: 5:30pm

Why: This is specifically for parents and youth that like to swim, bike, and run. It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to learn more about the sport of triathlon and how to prepare for a race by the USAT Coaching Education Dept. and the Elite athletes.

Who: Children 6-12 and their parents are encouraged to participate.

What: We will provide instruction in swimming, biking, running, and transition skills on the actual Prospect Lake Triathlon race course. We will discuss the importance of nutrition, safety, rules and offer advice and tips on training and racing triathlons.

Note: This is NOT a lecture but interactive sessions of swimming, biking and running.  Please have your child bring a swim suit, goggles, towel, bike, helmet, running shoes and snack.

If your child is currently a USAT member, the clinic is free. If your child is not a current USAT member, you can register them on-site for $5.

A $5 donation to the City of Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation Department earmarked for Prospect Lake will gladly be accepted.
